We slept last night with the family in Lat Krabang.
Because we are going to Luang Prabang in
Laos in less than two weeks, on
March 3, we are looking for a hotel.
The hotel where we slept last time, the Villa Maydou
Boutique Hotel, we really liked, but now we would have to pay more than €400 for 3
nights.
We find that too expensive, and we look further.
Luang Prabang turns out to be expensive, but there are cheaper hotels, of course they are
less comfortable.
We are not booking anything yet.
Pia has agreed with Moue to visit her uncle Tit Pao.
Tit Pao lives half an hour away.
More than 15 years ago, he suffered a cerebral haemorrhage and has had difficulty moving his
left leg and arm ever since.
Talking doesn't go very well either.
His wife left him shortly after the cerebral haemorrhage, and since then his children have
been trying to take care of him as well as possible.
He now lives in a small house, perhaps a kind of social housing in Thai style, full of old
things.
It takes us a lot of effort to find that house.
Tit Pao is happy with our visit, and we'll keep talking to him for a while.
In the evening we will have dinner with a part of the family at
Krua Rabiengnaam.
The food tastes good and it is pleasant.
We notice that it is not that busy in the restaurant.
During dinner Pia and Luuk Naam, a niece who works in the travel industry, agree that she
will look at tours to Vietnam.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
